Spider Hunters

Mommy is pretty lenient with us and she doesn't ask a lot. In fact, she's really big on letting us 'do our thing' as she says. We have a lot of freedom and very few jobs in this house, but we still have certain things that we have to take care of. Besides loving her and keeping her warm at night, our next priority is getting rid of any bugs that dare to set eight feet in our lair. She HATES spiders and bugs! She always lets out a God-awful scream and we know we have a job to do. Samson and I know what that scream means and we always respond with enthusiasm. One time I heard Mommy cry out in the bathroom and I ran to her side to find her pointing at the ground, shaking with fear. Usually I like to torture the little critters and then dispose of them but this one had apparently had the nerve to jump on her head, then her shoulder before she brushed it off onto the ground! I had to munch that one up really quickly to show Mommy that I was capable of efficiently removing the threat. Spiders taste yucky but we always get yummy treats after we take care of them.

Winter time means less spiders but last night there was one on the wall! This one was a little tricky because I have not yet developed my ability to climb the walls (I am working on it, though). Sammy and I waited patiently (it seemed like hours!) but finally it climbed down enough for Samson to grab it. We are spider killers extraordinaire! Check out the concentration we have in this photo! Samson is usually a cam hog and poses whenever the humans have a camera but you can see he is focused on the task at hand.

It's finally Friday and we have had a hard week chewing bugs so we're going to relax all weekend! Have a great weekend everyone!

Can you believe our mom rescues spiders from us and puts them outside?! (Part of the problem is we're not very good bug hunters - we usually just watch them...)

Hope you have a wonderful weekend - big purrs from Tasha, Franklin, and Dobby.

Yay, very good job! Siena kills spiders, bugs and flies too. I, Chilli, the little one, haven't met one of these creatures yet.
Have a pawsome Finally Friday!

Wouldn't it be cool to climb walls just like Spiderman!?

Don't you just love spring when all the spiders come out of their winter hiding? So many to play with, so little time!

So far we only has ladybugs at our house. I play with them and pat them but Momma says not to crunch them because we need them to take care of our garden in the summer. If I ever saw a spider though I'd sure crunch it! Momma screams if a spider walks on her. I think she even peed her pants once too....

Purrs. Wish our meowmie would let us catch spiders and bugs too. But no, she catches them and lets them into the out. Hmpf...

My mommy won't let me get spiders ...she says that I play with them too long and let them get away sometimes, so she just squishes them....right in front of me! But that's ok, she's kinda crazy scared of them, so its at least a little funny to watch her freaking out trying to get it. Giggle!
