Maggie May

The Ball Guy finished one of the three portraits for our Portrait Contest winners

This is the Maggie May portrait.

Sweet Pea has really been giving The Ball Guy a hard time about working, but he thinks he's figured out why - she wants to draw too! Sweet Pea actually jumped into his lap, took part of the brush in her mouth and painted a stroke on this portrait!

Now he's working on finishing up the other two, with his little assistant helping out. Here is Sweet Pea checking the perspective:

I think she has a kitten crush on Ginger Jasper. Really, who could blame her? He's a gorgeous Mancat!

Okay, little Sweet Pea, you may have a little problem if you start going after my mancat, GJ. Those portraits are wonderful. I can't wait until the next contest!

Ball Guy's work on Maggie May is wonderful! Can't wait to see the others! Gotta admit, Tommy is a wee jealous of the Ball Guy AND Sweat Pea-she so flunked junior high art class--can't draw a straight line with a ruler... :)

Happy New Year again, friends!

Ball Guy is very lucky to have Sweet Pea helping him with everything he does. We don't know how he ever could do anything without such great help. And she does have great taste, GJ is very gorgeous.

We are so blown away by the Ball Guy's talent! Mom can't wait to get the Maggie May portrait framed. She thinks (and we all agree) that Sweet Pea's brush stroke makes the portrait even more special because that's the same thing Maggie May does when our mom tries to paint!
Can't wait to see the others!!!

What a wonderful portrait of Maggie May! I'm sure her beans will be thrilled -- and it's all the more special because Sweet Pea put her own mark on it!

I've heard of doggy artists before so why not a kitty artist! I guess Sweet Pea takes after her daddy!

Such sweet pictures with Sweet Pea and GJ! Can hardly wait to see GJ's portrait. Hopefully Sweet Pea will add a little something to that one, too.

Sweet Pea is an artist too? See, her adoption was truly meant to be. Maybe we'll see a Sweet Pea original in the future?
