Mancat Monday

It has been very hectic in this household recently, and unfortunately, the stress of it all has possibly caused another bout of interstitial cystitis for me.

Mommy knows I'm very sensitive to her feelings, and in the past my cystitis flared up when she was under extreme stress, so she usually tries to leave her stress at the door so I don't get sick. But in the last couple of weeks, Mommy has been doing a lot of packing for our move and she quit smoking, so she's been a little on edge. She noticed that I wasn't feeling well again when I peed on a plastic bag that was on the floor and then again in front of the litter box and not in it.

She's been doing her best to make things very relaxed for me so that this episode passes quickly, and she got me some pills from the vet that make me feel better, so I'm feeling pretty good today.

The only good part of being sick is that Mommy lets me do anything I want! I get to sleep in the clothes hamper undisturbed.

Wait, is that the can opener?? I guess I'll get up for that.

Samson

Awwww! So sorry you had another bout of IC. It's hard to keep the stress level down in our house, especially with the foster boys. Chevelle and Maggie don't deal with stress well.
Sending healing and comforting purrs to you!

Poor Samson! What a sensitive boy you are! I guess it's good and bad at the same time.

And your poor mama, too! As if moving weren't stressful enough, to quit smoking at the same time is a real feat. Kudos, though -- I know how hard it is.

I hope things will improve soon for you and Samson.
