Mancat Monday

Things are definitely settling down here as the big move is finished, but in all this chaos, I've discovered something very useful. When you act stressed out, you get even more attention!

The day we were moving, I peed in an open suitcase, and since we've been here, I've peed in various bags and boxes a few times. Of course Mommy is very worried, but I'm eating and acting normally otherwise. She scoops me up in her arms and makes sure that I'm feeling no stress at all.

It really is heaven!

Mommy was considering bringing me to the vet, but she thinks I might just be marking my new territory. She has no idea that it's because I've discovered her weakness - when she thinks I'm not feeling well, she is ALL over me!

I did make one mistake, though. I got a little too comfy while she was taking photos, and she caught me in a yawn. She noticed that my teeth are looking awful, and the gums around one of them are red. It looks like I'm going to be going to the vet after all!

It was the perfect plan...almost.

Oh Samson - Nearly.... ;)

But going to the vet to have your teeth looked at is very sensible...

Anyways glad to see you and Deli back to your blogging ways!!

Hey Sampson, did your mummy try Feliway for when you moved? Our mummy was wondering if she did, and how well it worked (if it worked)

Samson, that was a clever ploy...it almost worked! We hope you start using your litter box soon, though--it would be much better if you did.

PetSmart carries a calming collar for $15 Canadian. A couple of US bloggers use them and they seem to be working. Our human saw them over the weekend. They last a month--it's a pheromone collar for calming stressed kitties. But maybe your mom needs to have your urine checked while you are at the v-e-t, just to make sure there's no physical reason for your peeing outside the box.

Good luck!

We hope you get settled in quickly. We bought our calming collars for our woofies on Amazon, they were a bit less expensive. Gandalf and Grayson have had great luck with them.

Peed in the open suitcase! Our mummy is worried we're going to try that one on her when we move house!
I guess going to vet for your teeth is a good idea!
Hope you feel all settled soon!!

Where have we been?! You're all moved in! We are so glad the move is complete and you are settling in. Too bad you have to have your teeth checked at the vet, but dental health is furry important.

When we moved into our new house about 5 years ago, Maya and Chevelle hid behind the washer and dryer. Sylvester(who is no longer with us) hid behind the toaster over on the counter.

Samson, your plan almost worked! We hope your teefs aren't a big problem and you are okay.

Oh Samson we is sorry you has teeth troubles and has to go to the vet, but we thinks your plan is very good. Now you can add having a sore mouth to being stressed out over the move and get even more attention and petting.

We are just marveling at the wonderful spot on the roof of your mouth! Did you know I have a little one...and only some of us kitties have them...Jonesie has a grey one! That means we are all very special.

Glad you are settling in...and good luck with the dental work sweetie.

Well you almost made it with all that attention. You probably are just stressed out about the move. Hope the vet isn't too bad. It does kind of look like you need a teeth cleaning. Have a great week.

Samson, we agree with Kea, maybe your Mom should have your pee checked just in case. You sure don't want to have a UTI.

You probably are just not used to your new home yet. Is your cat box in a nice quiet place where you can have some privacy? That's important to us. We like a quiet spot for our box.

Dentist Time! Sorry Buddy, but you don't want bigger problems. And we agree...you were just marking your territory. Understandable.

We heard from our older brother, Cherokee, how scary it is moving. The hour ride was stressful, then coming out of the carriers into unknown territory.......very SCARY!!! After nerves settle you will have lots of fun exploring, just make sure you make a pit stop first=^Y^=

Sampson, We agree with Kea too. After what Grayce went through 2 months ago it's worth the peace of mind to have your pees checked out. If you time it right, maybe you can deliver the "sample" directly on the v-e-t!

Oh, the best laid plans of mice, men and cats!

I do hope you stop peeing all around, though, or they might take some more drastic action. They might send you to a cat terrorpissed -- and you certainly don't want that!

You are so clever Samson and we're glad your plan worked but sorry to hear you are going to have to get your teefs cleaned. But, it does mean lots more lovin' from your mommy! Plus, you need pearly white teefs to go with your white furs!

It was a good plan and it proofed that your mom cares very much about you, Samson. The vet is never fun, but better be safe than sorry.

Samson, I love the black patch on the roof of your mouth! Your Momma snapped a great shot there. I've been trying to catch Penny's wide yawns for years to capture her roof top black patch.

I'm sure your Momma would love you up just the same!!!
