Tortie Tuesday

It has been quite a week and a half since we moved here! We are still adjusting to all the new sights and sounds, and Samson is feeling better too. It's a lot to take in, but I think I'm finally ready to call this place 'home'.

My little friend Sweet Pea has been visiting quite a bit, and although I like having her around now, Mommy and The Ball Guy have decided that we are going to have a break from her until after her spay surgery on June 1st. Samson is acting a little weird around her and, although he had a bout of cystitis that he was treated for, when she leaves, he still pees on things that he shouldn't! They think that he is getting all wonky from her budding ladycat hormones. As if he could do anything about it anyway. Silly Samson!

I am very happy that Sweet Pea is having a HISStorectomy, but I think they may be a little too late because she's already multiplying! Look at this photo and tell me you don't see two Sweet Peas!

I can handle one Sweet Pea, but two or more would be too much...even for me!

P.S. Samson is being watched very carefully by Mommy and the vet, and there is no infection, crystals or anything unusual in his urine, and his cystitis should have been cleared by the medication, so it's all behavioral and stress-related at this point.

We're glad your settling in, though we know it takes time to feel fully comfortable.

We hope that once Sweet Pea is spayed, Samson stops his inappropriate peeing!

Lots of kitty kisses to you all!

Two, three, four, even more torties would be fine. However, I understand that Sweet Pea must have har gardenectomy! Maybe that will settle Samson down a little.

Two Sweet Peas may be too much for you...but Nigel is thinking maybe you could send one to him? He can do nothing about it either...but ladycats make him swoon.

Hey Samson, I've been doing what Mom calls "inappropriate marking" too. Maybe I have cystitis or a bladder thing going on. She says we're going to the doctor to get looked at. Well, SHE can go if she wants to. I prefer to stay home!

So happy you are all settling in well. Mom has scheduled Cricket's check up for the beginning of June, and her HISSterectomy will follow shortly after that. Sorry to hear Samson is peeing after Sweet pea leaves. We agree, it's probably her hormones making him nutty. Boys are so weird and silly!

We're glad you're getting settled in Delilah! Can there ever be too many Torties? Well maybe there can be for Samson right now but hopefully he gets better soon and especially after Sweet Pea is spayed. Purrs to Samson!

Good luck to Samson and Sweet Pea on their problem-ectomies!
Having a peeing kitty can be frustrating, one way because they are peeing on everything and another way because you know they are unhappy about something. We are dealing with two peers at Co9T.
We wish you all well!

Yup probably time for Sweet Pea to be a Miss and not a Mrs.
I wonder if there was a cat in the house that you moved into, before you came. Usually boy cats spray because they smell other cats. And it could be because Sweet Pea is getting older. Samson, you need to start behaving.

Sweet Pea may be great as two but we would go blitz with two Toys! Mommy just had locks put on the cupboards because Toy started opening them looking for his dry food which is not there anymore! Samson, we are happy to hear all those furends purrz helped you get well! =^Y^=

Oh noes! Gracie just had her Hissterectomy but she still Hisses! Do you think they left something in that they shouldn't have?

Gandalf is still having issues with inappropriate marking since we moved. It's been about 3 months. It's better... but it's not gone. ::sigh::

We hope things clear up with Samson - it has only been a short time so maybe he is still freaked out about the move. Hopefully he will calm down quickly. We don't remember how long it took after we moved to our new house to get used to it (Floyd always kept marking but in the same place - and once the carpet was gone that stopped - but he is an odd case we think). Hopefully it is not the cystitis still.

And good luck for Sweat Pea and her ladygardenectomy - we don't think it will be a true hissstorectomey because we bet she will still be hissy. But that is ok - hissing is important sometimes.

Glad to hear that you are settling in Delilah! You can never have too many torties, that's just my opinion!
Poor Samson! He sounds a bit stressed out! Hope everything works out, when Miss Sweet Pea has her operation!
