Mancat Monday

I'm normally very happy to pose for photos for my Mancat Monday post, but I'm just not feeling it today. Mommy is a very persistent and stubborn woman, but I have a plan to outsmart her this time.

Here she comes with the camera! Time to put my plan into action.

If I hide behind my plentiful chest hair, she won't be able to see me.

It worked! I'm invisible!

Sometimes I'm too smart for my own good.

Thankful Thursday

Being a Monkey is a fabulous thing, and every day is a day to be thankful for. Well yesterday it was one of those days where everything was even more wonderful than usual!

Sweet Pea came over for a visit with her Daddy while Mommy was at work and we received two packages in the mail! One was from our friends at Marg's Pets. They sent us some really cool rats!

I love these rats so much!

Samson and Sweet Pea also enjoyed playing with it.

Bella also loved the Rats, but she is a little shy about playing on camera

Thank you so much, Marg! We absolutely adore them!

The second package was from The Casbah Kitten! We got some of our favorite jelly beans and a pickle toy!

Mommy thought it was a mistake because she hadn't ordered it, but because we love these toys so much and we had already drooled all over the packages (Samson put a tooth right through the jelly bean bag!), she sent an email to Jane, Alice and Rita to let them know we received them and would buy them from her. Rita said it was a surprise but she wasn't sure if she was supposed to let us know who they were from! We LOVE Casbah Kitten toys, so whoever sent us this awesome present, please let us know so we can thank you properly!

Tortie Tuesday

Sweet Pea here!

During my most recent visit to Samson, Delilah and Bella's house, I noticed that Samson was always in a new box. When he went to get some food I hopped in to see what the big deal was.

This isn't bad at all! I can see why he likes it so much. This paper is very comfy.

Uh oh! Here he comes!

Hey! How'd he do that? He distracted me with his handsomeness and took back his box.

Mancat Monday

At the end of last month I completed a month long cycle of Prednisone for my allergies. My itchies haven't come back, so I'm very happy about that. The only problem is, I've gained weight! At the vet I weighed in at a very ample 15.4 pounds, but when I was weighed again the other day, I'm up to 16.8 pounds!

I explained to Mommy that Prednisone is a steroid and she should know that some of the side effects are eating too much and weight gain, but she is not happy that I've continued to overeat long after the medication was stopped.

We all know what a problem it can become when Mommies get the idea that you're eating too much. No matter how well you have her trained, the treat supply dries up!

With good reason, I'm very concerned.

Do these furs make my butt look too big?

Tortie T(h)ursday

It has taken awhile but I am very happy to report that my floof is finally coming back!

Mommy is very pleased that I love getting brushed every day. She had better not neglect my brushing so that I need to get shaved again! It's a lot of hard work growing these furs!

Even though she says she will help me keep my coat knot-free, I had better let her know my feelings on the matter in case she gets a little lazy...

I'm sure she gets the message.

Tortie Tuesday

As Samson mentioned we had Canadian Thanksgiving over the weekend.

It is nice to have a day to remind everyone to be thankful, but personally, I'm thankful every day!

I have everything I've ever wanted...

...except maybe some privacy while I bathe! If you'll excuse me...

Mancat Monday

Yesterday was Thanksgiving here in Canada and Mommy didn't make a turkey! Of course we were all disappointed, but she did have a surprise for me. She received a box in the mail and once I got over the fact that the box did NOT contain a turkey with all the fixins', I got very excited about the prospect of a new box to sleep in.

Most of you know how much I love boxes and I've been without one since I peed in my favorite one (pictured below) when we moved and I got stressed.

It was a sad day when I lost that box. How was I to know that peeing in it would render it unusable? Well, all is forgotten now. This new box is filled with a lot of luxurious brown paper to nest in.

I promised Mommy that I wouldn't pee in this one as long as she keeps it exactly the way it is. I guess I have a lot to be thankful for!

Fierce Friday

We have decided to try out a new feature on our blog where we all do our best to look as fierce as possible.

Unfortunately I'm at a bit of a disadvantage compared to the Ladycats in my house because of my angelic and cute face (Mommy's words), but I gave it my best shot at being a fierce Mancat..grrrr!

Sweet Pea is a natural! She has this kind of face on the whole time she visits.

What doesn't come naturally for her, she learned from Delilah. You can see that Deli is giving her a fierce lesson in this photo!

Sweet Pea is learning from the best because Delilah is downright scary sometimes.

Bella is no amateur when it comes to looking mean. She looks like a cougar!

I'll give it one more shot.

Who am I kidding? It's impossible to look fierce with this face!

Tortie Tuesday

The weather here in Montreal is getting cooler and cooler every day. You humans call it sweater weather

Since I wear a 'sweater' all your round, I call it duvet weather!

This is pure heaven! I'm going to wear this duvet all over the house.

Mancat Monday

While Delilah is my main girlcat, lately I find that I've been thinking about Bella a lot.

Those big, googly eyes, her long silky fur and her tiny little body keep me interested.

The problem is, she doesn't want anything to do with me!

I've tried everything and she still rejects my advances. Do any of you Mancats out there know how to woo a tiny little Persian Tortie?

LiveStrong Day

We are going yellow along with our friends Milo and Alfie to support LiveStrong and their fight to improve the lives of humans and animals affected by cancer.

We are simple cats and our Mom has very little talent when it comes to tweaking our photos, so we are going natural. Don't worry, it's still 'K' rated (appropriate for kittens)...we're keeping on our furs!

In this photo I'm posing with a yellow crescent moon and below me to the left is a photo of Mommy's beloved Momo. Momo lost his battle with kidney cancer in 1999 at the young age of 9. The vet believed it was caused by the food he was eating that contained Ethoxyquin (a rubber stabilizer and a known carcinogen) as a preservative. Of course Mommy had no idea that bad stuff was in his food and, even though that cat food company has since removed it from their food, she will never buy from them again.

The lovely Delilah is posing with one of our favorite yellow toys.

Oops! I promised we'd keep all our furs on! I forgot that when Bella arrived here she was almost naked. Kittens, don't look at the next photo of the exhibitionist Bella posing with the lemon toy!

Sweet Pea wanted to go yellow too. Here she is posing with a mini cat sun.

We would also like to mention our beautiful Grandma (Mommy's Mom) who is a skin cancer survivor. We are so happy that the doctors were able to cure her. We love you, Grandma!

Most of our friends have been affected by cancer and we offer our support and purr strongly for the ones that are fighting.
