Samson Update

Thank you all for your purrs, prayers and positive thoughts.  They worked!  I'm feeling better now!

I know a lot of you can relate to the fact that mommies and daddies can be worrywarts!  Of course I'm a little mad that Mommy broadcast my embarrassing poop problems to the entire CB, but, I know the purrs helped me through.

I went to see my vet this morning and they took x-rays to check my innards.  I don't want to get into details, but they helped me 'pass' through everything that needed to be passed.   They gave me some probiotics and an omega 3 spray to help me stay regular.  I am feeling a little worn out, but I'm home and doing well.   Mommy is more of a mess than I am because she didn't sleep and was very stressed out.  I hope the vet prescribed her some probiotics, because she probably needs them more than I do!

Thank you ALL so much for your purrs.  I have the best friends ever!

Purrs for Samson

The Monkeys' Mommy here.

Samson has had diarrhea for the last two days, and today when I got home, instead of greeting me like normal, he went into the litter box.  When he came out, I noticed he had a large plugged up butthole!  While I was unplugging him and washing him up, I noticed it was red and irritated.  His behavior is what is worrying me the most.  He's very sluggish and refusing all food.  He ALWAYS greets me at the door and ALWAYS wants treats...except today.  He was sitting in the corner staring blankly.

I spoke to his vet and he can see Samson tomorrow at 9 am.  His main concern is if he is urinating properly and from what I can tell, he does not have a blockage.   I was getting ready to take him to the emergency vet, but as soon as I put him in the carrier, he pooped a 'normal' poop and he seems to be acting less lethargic.  If he gets worse tonight, I won't hesitate to bring him to the emergency clinic.

Please send as many positive thoughts and purrs as you can spare for my little boy.  I am worried beyond belief.   I will update you all with any news as soon as I can.

Thank you.

Mancat Monday

It's been over 10 weeks since the last day I had medication for my allergies and I'm still symptom-free!  We don't know what changed and we're very cautious because we know the itchies could come back at any time, but...

...for now, not only am I free of the symptoms of allergies, I'm also free of the symptoms of the steroids I took to relieve my itching.  The symptoms included chin pimples, various skin problem flare-ups, lethargy, diabetes risk and, of course, the excessive hunger that contributed to my now more than ample physique.

Santa must have known that I need a lot of exercise to get back into shape because over the holidays he infested our house with Red Dot bugs

They're everywhere!  Deli and I have been going crazy trying to catch them all.

One thing Deli and I noticed is that these lightning fast insects only seem to appear when Mommy is home.  Maybe humans attract Red Dot bugs...

I'm working hard to catch them all and win the battle of the bulge at the same time!

Almost got him that time...
