Tortie Domination Day

Delilah here!

As the head Tortie Monkey, I am pleased to announce that as of today the Tortie population of Monkeys will become even stronger!  We will be 50% Tortie!

Mommy was browsing her Facebook feed and saw a post from one of her friends that does rescue and saw a post about some cats that were on death row at a pound outside of Montreal.  This is an especially awful pound because they still use gas to kill cats and dogs that aren't claimed after a certain amount of time.  Of course there is a movement to stop them from using this inhumane method, but I will save Mommy's rant for another post.  ANYWAY, she saw this little beauty in the photos:

She is only 6 months old and was picked up as a stray.  Mommy kept watching the post and hoping for the good news that someone would save her, but time was running out.   She was scheduled to be killed today!  Mommy called Sweet Pea and Gabriel's Daddy and showed him the photo and he said 'call and get her'!  She is being transported over to Sweet Pea and Gabriel's house today!

Poor Sweet Pea will have to learn how to adjust to living with a new Tortie.  I can only hope that my intense Tortie training has paid off and she will be fine with the new little one.

In other Tortie news, Mommy visited her Mom recently and got a chance to hang out with my Auntie Mattie
She was sick for a little while and had us all worried, but she is all better and doing very well!

We can't forget our wise old Tortie, Bella.  She had to be shaved again but I'm pleased to announce that she is as grumpy as ever and doing very well.

Happy Tortie Domination Day!  I'm going to celebrate by hanging out with my beautiful Tortie friend who lives in the wall.

Delilah
xoxo

Delilah, that's great news that your mom saved that cutie tortie! We hope you torties aren't too hard on all the non-torties. ;)

Poor kitties, all euthanasia is horrible but that is worse than most. That pretty little girl is very lucky that your mommy has rescued her.

THANK YOU for saving that little tortie! We can't wait to *meet* her.

I don't think I would be able to accept another kitty in the house, even if it's a tortie. ;)

I love the picture by the mirror. Double cuteness !!!

Such a sweet kitten. So glad she got saved.

I don't even think about the cats and dogs and any animals really that need homes. It's just so sad.

I tell my seven that they are spoiled for all of those who are not. They just look at me like what's the old lady talking about when she could be feeding us. lol
