She has been brushing me every day and even asked Praline's Mom, Paula, advice on keeping a Persian knot-free, but Mommy neglected to brush my tummy and armpits enough, because suddenly, overnight it seems, I have knots on my tummy! Mommy doesn't want to attempt to cut them out herself, so now I'm going in for a spa day.
She promised me that she would not let them shave me. She knows how self-conscious I was with my last shave, and I know she wants to keep me looking beautiful. I've worked very hard to grow my furs and I don't want to look like this again...
I hope she keeps her promise and I think she will, but I'm still nervous and I can't even look at her!
Praline, can I move in with you? Just by looking at your beautiful fur, your Mom is obviously not negligent like mine!

ReplyDeleteI think you look cute with your fur really short ~ but ~ I also understand the importance of fur/hair. I get sad when the hairdresser cuts my hair too short too! Well hopefully it will be just the right length when you are done. But either way, you will still be a beauty! :)

ReplyDeleteOh Honey,,I am a beautiful Tortie too and mommy has mentioned a spa day for me. My armpits are ok but there are a few knots in my tummy furs which are very curly. Mommy brushes till lay a bitely on her, but it's not always successful.
ReplyDeleteOh dear Bella - don't let them cut off your beautiful furs - give then big bities and snarl. I get knots in my tummy furs but mum has a small pair of scissors for a quick snip if she can't unravel any knots there.

Bella, Bella, Bella, we have our paws crossed that they won't shave you again. It's winter and much too cold to be shaved!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteMaybe your Mom should invest in a furminator. Dante got one for Christmas and now he doesn't mind it when we comb under his armpits. It takes the knots out very gently.

Your long, beautiful fur must be hard to keep up with! Sammy-Joe is a short-haired kitty so he doesn't have that problem, but we DOGS feel your pain! We have shaggy fur that is always tangled. We don't like it when Mama brushes us, and we try to walk away calmly when we see her coming with the brush!

ReplyDeleteEven with all of the combing and brushing that my mom does on me, she finds little knows behind my ears, under my arms and on my belly. I'm not as patient with her anymore, but she still tries to work on them. You can come a live with me anytime!
