Mancat Monday

It's been a very busy weekend here and the temperature is dropping overnight (-21 Celsius).

Mommy has to go to work even though I know she's as tired as I am.

I'm doing my part by not moving off the bed so she doesn't have to make it. I'm also adding some valuable furs and crud to her dark sheets.

We all have to lend a paw when we can.

Bundle up, Mommy!

Friends Friday

Today on Friends Friday, we wanted to introduce you to a friend of ours in Ohio - Max The Manx!

Max doesn't have a blog but we think it's because he must be too busy looking handsome!

Max is a 16-year old Manx and though he's recently retired from hunting due to a little bit of arthritis, he still enjoys patrolling his neighborhood in his dapper hunting jacket. His humans put a little bit of nip in the pockets in case he wants a little 'pick-me-up' during his patrol. He isn't afraid to admit that he's a nipaholic, but really, who among us isn't?

Max is still single, but he wants the ladycats in his area to know that he might finally be ready to settle down. He enjoys long, moonlit walks, turkey and dead mousie arranging.

He sounds like a catch!

Thankful Thursday

You may or may not know that I had to go to a groomer recently because of knots on my chest and tummy.

As much as I love and trust Mommy, I was a little worried that I would lose all my fur. The day before she adopted me, I had all of my floof stolen by the people at the shelter! Mommy saw how self-conscious it made me, so she promised me she would not let the groomer steal all my fur.

I believed her, of course, but I was very nervous anyway!

It turns out that they had to shave my stomach and bee-hind, but you can't even tell by looking at me! I am very happy and comfortable without all those nasty knots.

I'm so thankful that I have a Mommy that keeps her promises!

Tortie Tuesday

In my last Tortie Tuesday post, I mentioned that I suspected that Bella might have magical powers . Now I know that may sound far-fetched, but I'm not taking any chances. I've decided that there is power in numbers, so I've recruited my protegee Sweet Pea so that we can develop some powers of our own.

Everycat knows that cat cubes are secret places where we can contact other cats telepathically, and since Sweet Pea lives with her Daddy and we have a lot of training to do, I begged Mommy to get both Sweet Pea and I new cat cubes. My old one was dropping a lot of calls.

I immediately got in my cube to try to contact Sweet Pea.

Delilah (telepathically): Sweet Pea, can you hear me now?

Sweet Pea (out loud): Hey, I think I hear voices in this thing. Deli? Is that you?

Delilah (telepathically): Yes, it's me. Now get in your cube and use your mind to speak. We can't let the humans know what we're up to!

Sweet Pea (out loud): Okay!! But it doesn't really matter because my Daddy is sleeping. He's an artist so his schedule is wonky.

Sweet Pea (out loud) Hey!! There's ribbons in this thing!! Yay!!

Delilah (telepathically): Please try to concentrate, Sweet Pea!

As you all can tell, I have my work cut out for me! I'll keep you all up to date with my progress.

Mancat Monday

I've said it before, but it warrants repeating - I love the Casbah Kittens!

Mommy has a strange obsession with the crescent moon so she asked Rita to make us a custom crescent moon toy.

It smells so wonderful and is perfectly bunny-kickable!

Rita even threw in a little star. I'm sure it was for me because I'm Mommy's star!

To be honest, I've never really understood what Mommy loves about the crescent moon...until now! She must love bunny-kicking too!

Thank you, Rita, Jane, Alice, Gabriel & Max!

P.S. The very talented Judi at Sammy and Andy's place hatted me today! I am very grateful because it's been so cold! You can see me looking dapper in my new hat HERE!
