She was browsing on Craigslist, and she found the ultimate Mancat throne for only $20.00 CAD!!
This big poofy chair was in excellent condition, but in her enthusiasm, she rushed to the seller's house, scooped up the chair without any consideration about how/if it would fit into her car, and then proceeded to dirty it up while she was trying to drive home with the windows open in a snowstorm with parts of the chair sticking out the window.
She says she was going to have the cushion cleaned anyway, but I know she feels bad, so I'm covering up the slush mark with my paws.
Another problem with this 'deal' is that it is far too large for our tiny apartment.
It will fit nicely in the new apartment we're moving into in May, but in the meantime, I'll make her feel better about the whole thing by spending all of my time in this chair. I mean, of course it was for me, right?

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year...love the chair! Mom told us that she used to have 2 of them in the livingroom in the other house. Her collie, Raleigh would get on them, move to far to one side and the seat would roll off the base with Raleigh in it! Never scared him from trying it again...Mom thinks he liked rolling in that chair! Sure is plenty of room on yours....move over....Giggle=^Y^=
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find!!! Our mom's a big deal finder too. We have one of those chairs, well actually, we only have the frame now. Somekitty peed on the cushion and it had to go.

Samson, we can barely see you in there...you're so far down in all that squoosh...we think your mom was thinking of you when she went in that snowstorm to get that chair!!

That looks like the ultimate cat bed. You are all sunk down in the softness. That was very thoughtful of your mum to get it specially for you.
ReplyDeleteSamson, you will find thet people don't think about transporting items. Many, many years ago when the bean kids were little, Mom and Dad took them to town to get Big Wheels. They came in big boxes. So Mom and Dad and to sticky little's and t huge boxes all in a convertible Volkswagen. That was a real hoot.

ReplyDeleteOMC! Pimp has a papasan chair just like yours! I've had it for 10 years and have thought about getting rid of it for many years (it doesn't match anything and it's, well, 10 years old!), but Pimp absolutely looooooves it. We're stuck with it for life.
