Purrs for Samson

Samson has had diarrhea for the last two days, and today when I got home, instead of greeting me like normal, he went into the litter box.  When he came out, I noticed he had a large plugged up butthole!  While I was unplugging him and washing him up, I noticed it was red and irritated.  His behavior is what is worrying me the most.  He's very sluggish and refusing all food.  He ALWAYS greets me at the door and ALWAYS wants treats...except today.  He was sitting in the corner staring blankly.

I spoke to his vet and he can see Samson tomorrow at 9 am.  His main concern is if he is urinating properly and from what I can tell, he does not have a blockage.   I was getting ready to take him to the emergency vet, but as soon as I put him in the carrier, he pooped a 'normal' poop and he seems to be acting less lethargic.  If he gets worse tonight, I won't hesitate to bring him to the emergency clinic.

Please send as many positive thoughts and purrs as you can spare for my little boy.  I am worried beyond belief.   I will update you all with any news as soon as I can.

    Oh noes! We're sending Samson lots of purrs to get well soon! When we saw the title of this post we immediately got all leaky because we love Samson so much. Many purrs and lots of love to him too! Hugs to you too mom!

    Oh noes! Teri said she see kitties with similar problems at the cat hospital. Sometimes a fecal mat can start with a little diarrhea or the opposite, constipation. It can cause a 'diaper rash or skin scald like you saw. Getting him cleaned up will enable him to defecate normally and he may not have felt like eating because he was 'backed up' so to speak. It is good you are taking him to see your vet tomorrow so they can feel his intestines to make she the feces is normal and that he isn't blocked inside.

    We will be purring and maybe the vibrations will help! We sure hope so...

    Aw, poor baby! We hope everything is ok and that the vet can fix anything up right away! Better yet, that he's fine in the morning and the vet cant find anything!
