Mancat Monday

We had a busy weekend here and Mommy and The Ball Guy got rid of a lot of stuff to prepare for the move. They were sweating and saying bad words when they took away our old sofa.

They wanted to get rid of this old chair too, but I told them I needed to inspect it first to be sure that it was no longer useful.

Sorry Mommy! This chair still is still good.

If I sleep on it, they won't be able to throw it out...

Fuzzy Friday

Do not adjust your computer screens - it's Fuzzy Friday!!

We're very excited that it's Friday and Mommy says she's looking forward to getting a little 'fuzzy' herself tonight! I don't know what that means but she's happy, so that's all that matters to me.

Have a great Friday!

Tortie T(h)ursday

It's Sweet Pea again for another Tortie T(h)ursday.

When Daddy brings me over to my future apartment, or Samson and Delilah's current apartment, I am usually very busy scoping out all the new smells and planning my future hiding places. I have no time to socialize or even be nice. This is a bit of a sore spot for Samson and Delilah's Mommy. Whenever she picks me up to try to be friends, I hiss and growl. She says I sound like something she heard when she visited Australia - a didgeridoo!

You can hear me growling and see me using some excellent defensive moves in this video.

She gets pretty upset about it, but I'm over there on a mission. I even hiss and growl at Daddy when I'm over at Samson and Delilah's house, so she shouldn't take it so personally.

Note from Mom: No kittens were harmed in the filming of this video, the only thing that was hurt was my pride!

Tortie Tuesday

Samson was ignoring Mommy yesterday because he thought it might keep her home. I know better! I know she has to go out to hunt and catch the chicken and fish for our food, so I don't mind if she goes out to do that.

I'm ignoring Mommy too, but it's for a very important reason - she opened the balcony window and there are Spring smells out there that must be sniffed!

It's very important to absorb every smell and I have to concentrate very hard.

Spring smells delicious!

P.S. We are so happy to have won a really cool prize from The Kool Kittie Krew yesterday for going to their birthday party!! We won a bottle of Chat Noir catnip. Thank you guys! We love you!

Mancat Monday

After the wonderful weekend Mommy and I had snuggling, I do not understand how she can just go to work! Sometimes I like to give her the furry shoulder and let her know how much I protest.

Just go, Mommy. I don't care! I've got plenty of things to do here at home.

Just once I wish that approach would work!

Finally Friday

We're very happy that it's Friday!

Mommy has a big weekend planned of shopping and packing.  We're just happy she's going to be home!

Deli and I will probably just sit around and snoopervise.  This place is a mess!

We hope you have a great weekend!

Angel VSquillions

Mommy was very excited to receive our Angel VSQuillions the other day, and she will be putting them in our sidebar soon.

The first one is Muddy, or The Mudman. Mommy has written about him before, so if you want to read about him, you can click here. Muddy died shortly before we came to live here in August of 2006 and, of course, Mommy misses him every day.

Next was Desdemona. She was with Mommy for 15 years and she was a crabby Torbie. Actually, she wasn't crabby with Mommy, but she was the only one Desi was nice to. Mommy said Desi used to be really nice until her love, MoMo (see below), died and Mommy adopted Muddy. She never was the same after she lost sweet MoMo. Desdemona died of kidney problems in 2004 on Mommy's birthday. Mommy had found her 15 years earlier on her birthday as a tiny kitten under a parked car, so she thinks it was appropriate that she left on that day too. Mommy misses her very much.

Last, but definitely not least, is MoMo. He was a thin, short-haired tuxie. He was a very special gift to Mommy from a friend of the family. The little girl, Kimberly, gave Mommy her own cat MoMo when, after a visit, she noticed that MoMo and Mommy were crazy about each other. Kimberly died a few weeks later in a car accident with her two brothers. She was only 13 years old. Mommy thinks the little girl instinctually knew something was going to happen and that's why she was so insistent that MoMo go live with Mommy.

MoMo, like Kimberly, died far too young at 9 years old. He was having surgery to prevent his crystals when the vet found that he had cancer all throughout his body. The vet suspected that it may have been caused by the food he was eating (Science Diet), because at the time it contained an ingredient called Ethoxyquin, which is a rubber stabilizer and a known carcinogen. Mommy sometimes still cries about MoMo and he died in 1997. She said he will always be in her heart and she misses him like crazy. She hopes that he is with Kimberly again.

We are so happy to have adopted these three so we can keep an eye on them. They paved the way for us to be spoiled and loved, and we're very happy they're here...even Desi, the crabby torbie!

You can adopt your own VSquillions here

Tortie Tuesday

It's a little embarrassing, but I feel I must bring attention to a very serious matter. I am expected to single-pawedly come up with new blog material at least once a week, yet the only recent picture of me in the 'Blog' folder is of me playing with a Christmas nip candy cane. It wouldn't be so horrible if this photo had been taken around Christmas time, but this is a recent photo.

Mommy has packed a lot of our toys and has been lazy about buying us new ones, so I was forced to play with this Christmas one. Don't get me wrong, it's a great toy, it's just that it's March!

Because of my weekly post, I expect to have the latest and/or holiday appropriate toys to talk about. I discussed this with Mommy and she said that she had already thought of that, and there is an order on the way from The Casbah Kittens that is both new AND holiday appropriate, but I would have to wait until it arrived to know what it is. She said that she is going to let all of you see it before me by posting a link after I've finished blogging for the night (pssst, click HERE to see Deli's new toy). Of course I know you will all tell me how awesome it is, right?
