Tortie Tuesday

Sweet Pea here!

After Samson's claim yesterday that I was always staring at him when I'm here, I had to post today to set the record straight. The truth is, I'm only interested in one thing and that's his floofy tail!

It reminds me of the squirrels I watch when I'm at home on my balcony, but when I'm here it's within reach!

Samson is so full of himself that he thinks I want him...silly Samson.

Nocat can resist this!

Mancat Monday

It's a tough life living here with all these girls sometimes, and it gets even worse when Sweet Pea visits.

She never leaves me alone and is always right behind me.

She thinks I don't know that she's staring at me so she turns away when I look at her.

Teencats can be so juvenile!

Friday Fun

The weekend is here and that means fun time!

I've got my friend Chilly Willy and I'm ready to have a good time.

Willy is a fun, fat penguin. He likes it when I bunny-kick him.

He's also fond of Delilah. They like to share sunbeams.

Deli and I like to have fun playing with our toys, but Bella really doesn't join in with games too much. She does watch us play, but I have a feeling she isn't having very much fun.

Have a great weekend!

Thankful Thursday

We live in Canada, so we had our Thanksgiving back in October. It doesn't mean that I can't be thankful though.

Mommy noticed that I was spending a lot of time under my favorite chair. She started calling it my 'executive suite' and bought a new water fountain for close-by. Bella was bullying me away from the other fountain (yes, little tiny Bella) and because I am such a gentlemancat, I would just go away even when I was thirsty. Mommy was right to assume that I was just escaping all the Tortitude in this house by escaping to my hideaway.

She decided that I needed to feel more comfortable in my executive suite so she contacted the girls over at The Casbah Kitten to see if they could make me a coaster that fit perfectly under there.

They took their job very seriously. Here's Alice doing a final check to make sure that my coaster was just right.

Mommy chose a purple because she said it is the colour of royalty and fit for a king.

Thank you, girls! This is the best executive suite ever!

Tortie Tuesday

Our friend Jenn gave us a cat condo that her cats Misha and Pasha don't use.

I never ever like anything new so I asked Samson to pose with the condo. He's too big to actually fit in it, so he has to sit on it.

Then Sweet Pea visited and went right into it!

She even used both floors.

But when she told me she didn't think I'd fit in the condo, I had to prove that I could.

I may not like new things, but I most certainly will never back down from a challenge!

Mancat Monday

As most of you already know, our sweet friend Inigo lost his battle against heart trouble. We are all so heartbroken. He was a beautiful boy with the sweetest soul.

Mommy doesn't really want to help me blog today and I understand. All she wants to do is snuggle with us and help us to send purrs to Inigo's family and friends who feel so sad.

We miss you, Inigo.

Friends Friday

Many of you have complimented us on our new banner. Mommy's co-worker and good friend, Tania made it for us. Tania is a graphic designer so the banner is the kind of thing she does every day at work. We are very happy with the new design!

Some of you may remember that we featured Tania's new kitten on our blog quite a while ago. Well, little Cookie has grown into a beautiful ladycat since we last reported on her and we thought we'd show you some recent pictures of her.

Such a pretty girl!

Thank you, Tania and Cookie! We love our new header.

Thankful Thursday

One great thing about having our new bed is that it is so comfortable that even snobby Bella can't resist joining me for a snooze.

Now's my chance to woo her.

Hi Bella. Do you need some help cleaning that gorgeous floof of yours?

Bella: I'd rather go without tuna for a month.

I can tell she's warming up to me already!

A Few Words Wednesday

Normally my photos speak for themselves, but today I wanted to send out a Happy Birthday message to my new Grandma!

Here's a birthday raspberry for you! I can't wait to meet you at Christmas!

P.S. I call her my 'new' Grandma only because as a new member of The Monkeys, everything is new to me! She is my 'new' Mommy's mommy!

Tortie Tuesday

As the days get shorter, my ongoing quest for sunbeams gets a little more difficult.

I must take advantage of every sunbeam, no matter where it's located.

This naughty ray of light thought it could elude me by resting mostly on the potted plant but thankfully I'm a cat and a part-time contortionist!

Mancat Monday

We finally got our new mattress on the weekend. Mommy has been looking for the right one for a long time and since we moved in May, she has been sleeping on the sofa bed.

Of course, I had to sniff it to make sure it was suitable.

It's also important that I look handsome on it. It passed that test.

The most important test is the comfy test. Deli and I both agree that it is extremely comfortable.

Come back to bed, Mommy. We saved you a spot.

Tortie T(h)ursday

Sweet Pea here!

It was my first Gotcha Day last Sunday and everyone forgot! Can you believe that? I was a little hissed off, but I know it's because I don't live with the rest of The Monkeys and I live with my Daddy who tends to forget things sometimes.

He is lucky that he has me around to help out. Sometimes I wonder how he got by before me!

Here I am reminding him that he needs to recycle.

I even shred up the paper for him.

Daddy has a lot of books and I always help him choose which books to read.

I like this one, Daddy, it has funny pictures.

Daddy is an artist so I motivate him to work and even give him an objective opinion of some of his art.

I think this is your best work, Daddy. Can you put it on the wall near my bed?

I know how important it is for humans to get enough water, so when my Daddy doesn't drink enough, I drink it for him!

What would he do without me?

Tortie Tuesday

The weather is getting colder and colder here so I've decided to pick up the pace and grow my winter coat.

Mommy says I look like a little bear with my thick coat.

I suppose I should start letting Mommy brush me more if I'm going to grow all that extra fur because my tummy fur is looking a little ratty!
