Tortie T(h)ursday - Bella's Adoption Day

I'm officially a Monkey!

Mommy (I can call her that now) signed the adoption papers and now I have my forever home.

Mommy said she knew when she first saw me that I was going to stay with her forever, but now that the papers are signed, I can settle in and not worry about being on my best behavior.

Here I am in my first act of defiance; sitting on the kitchen counter

The problem is, Mommy didn't get mad! Instead she ran for the camera and took a lot of photos. Sigh...I'll have to think of something a little more risque to initiate myself into this rule-deprived household.

Perhaps I'll mess with her 'baby', Samson. Nahh! That's too easy. I'll think of something...

In the meantime, please pop by and visit us for our adoption party! There are lots of treats and toys around because Sweet Pea is turning one on Sunday. I'm sure she won't mind if we dip into her presents and treats!

Now, to get the humans to work on putting my face in the header!

P.S. Our good friend Inigo is at the vet right now and he could really use some purrs.

Tortie Tuesday

I read Sweet Pea's post last week about becoming the Head Tortie here and I had to laugh. She reminds me of myself at her age, and I like to think that one day she'll assist me as Deputy Head Tortie.

I have been training her ever since she was a wee little kitten, and whenever she's here, we always continue our lessons.

I worry about her Tortitude, though. I think she's taking the lessons a little too seriously. Perhaps I should include Samson in our lessons so he can teach her how to be a little more sensitive.

When she's at home with The Ball Guy and Mommy goes over to visit, she's very sweet with Mommy, but when she's here, this is the kind of face that Mommy gets out of her when she tries to take a photo of her.

C'mon, Sweet Pea! Smile a little! Sometimes I think she should be named Sour Pea instead!

Mancat Monday

Mommy ordered another hairy blanket for us from the fabulous Peggy!

Of course, I was the first to inspect it. I'm the hairy blanket connoisseur here.

It's big enough for me and all three of my girls and so soft! It's so big that maybe even Mommy can join us.

In fact, I think Mommy bought it for herself, but, uh, like that would ever happen! Obviously Peggy intended it for us because she put some fun cat toys in the box and I've never seen Mommy play with a toy mousie.

Now, to the business at hand; an invigorating toy mousie kill and then a nap on my new blankie!

Thank you, Peggy! You make the softest blankies!

Tortie Tuesday

Sweet Pea here!

Delilah is the current Head Tortie around these parts, but I'm turning one-year old on September 19th, so I think I'll make a run for that title.

Daddy always said I couldn't be the Head Tortie because I was just a kitten and I wasn't strong enough to beat Deli into submission, but I'm sure when I turn one I'll gain at least 4 pounds and be able to stage my coup.

In the meantime I'm taking certain steps to set the stage for the big takeover. Today I'm taking over her blog day, and I've also been making maneuvers when I visit.

Here I am sleeping in Deli's favorite spot in front of the hall mirror.

As you can see, she's not too pleased with it.

Deli likes posing and showing off her Tortie colours in front of the purple wall. She says it brings out her orange gene...

Well guess who else has an orange gene?! I'm much cuter too!

I can't wait until my birthday! Hmmmm, I think I'll make Bella my first officer. She may be tiny but her face is so intimidating! And Samson, well I bet I can find lots of uses for a big brute like him.

Uh oh! Here comes Deli! I guess she didn't like that 'much cuter' remark. Can't she wait until I'm one?
