Mancat Monday

It has been a little under a month since the end of my last treatment of Prednisone for my allergies and so far my itchies haven't come back. Mommy doesn't want to jinx anything, but the one thing that has changed is our litter.

Since we moved last May, we had been using Feline Fresh (a pine-based litter), but our pet store has been out of stock for the last month so Mommy went back to World's Best Cat Litter.

We are hoping and purring that my allergy is to pine and that we have solved the problem because the steroid medication has made me gain 3 whole pounds in a year! I don't mind having a little extra Samson around, but Mommy says it's very unhealthy.

It's tiring having this much extra weight. I think I'll have a nap!

I hope it was the litter and now you'll be just fine. Mom says you can send some of that extra weight down here to me.

All the more Samson to love is a good thing ~ but indeed not good for kitties. Perhaps a little more playing is in order.... ;)

Happy Monday!

Oh Samson that is such good news. We are so glad that you maybe figured out what was causing the itchies. We love have a little extra Samson but maybe not too much extra. Take care.

Ah, darlin' Samson, Sammy can totally relate to extra weight. Mama tries to limit his intake, but she's such a softie!!!!!!!!!!!

Me hopes it was the litter! Kozmo was allergic to the clay litter and we switched to corn and he is all better. Me likes it better too.

Mommy had changed to Feline Pine but it tracked EVERYwhere in the house inc. the bed so we had to give up. The clay ones are so dusty they aren't good for me or for her when she cleans my box each morning. I am being given wheat granules type litter. It tracks some, but not nearly as bad as F.Pine did. I get a shot every 6 weeks or so for my allergies but we don't know what I'm allergic to.

Oh, beautiful Samson, Miss Biscuit had exactly the same issue and switching to cat country organic wheatgrass litter and grain-free foods did the trick! Besides, the litter has a portrait of you on the bag; what could be better? Mention that to Mom, she might want to know how much it could help.

We hope it was the litter and your itchies don't come back. If our mum touches the branches of pine trees like the leylandii in our hedge, it makes her hands come up in a rash.

Cody is on Prednisone now too for his allergies....they seem to be mostly cleared up but not completely. I didn't know that Prednisone makes a kitty gain weight....uh-oh.........

That makes sense, I hope it's just that!
