Tortie Tuesday

I've been feeling a little under the weather again with another bout of URI so when Mommy was taking these photos for my Tortie Tuesday post, I wasn't as enthusiastic as I usually am.

My appetite is as hearty as ever and I'm not dehydrated, I'm just tired and sneezy. I'm actually feeling much better as of yesterday but it has been a rough couple of days.

Mommy spoke to my vet and his opinion is to not give me antibiotics unless my breathing gets difficult or it lasts too long. Mommy is just concerned that it has been too soon since my last URI (February) and that Samson doesn't seem to ever show any symptoms. She is happy he doesn't get sick but she wonders why, considering it's contagious. When I'm sick, he's always all over me trying to make me feel better. Actually, it's not only when I'm sick, he's always all over me...

We have a vet appointment coming up for Samson's teeth evaluation so Mommy said she's going to have the vet do some blood tests and make sure I'm okay.

I did some very enthusiastic ball-chasing yesterday and I ate all of my raw food and most of Samson's. I'm feeling much better! Mommy worries too much!

We're really sorry you're not feeling well, Deli (although eating all your food and most of Samson's makes it sounds like you might be a bit better!) Sending you many purrs! And Tasha says she hopes that Samson is not bothering you too much :)

You're looking good Delilah, despite your URI! And if you're chasing toys and fending off Samson, you can't be deathly ill. I think some kitties are just more susceptible than others -- and it's like humans, if you've had a bad URI before, it can make it easier to get another one. It's like that with me for bronchitis.

Anyway, we hope you feel better soon and that mommy is worrying for naught.

I'm glad you are feeling better! I was sick a few weeks ago, and I started antibiotics because I was blowing bubbles out my nose and open-mouthed breathing.

Harley got sick first, and all he did was sneeze a lot. He really did not seem sick at all except for the sneezing. I got sick just a few days later, and it really hit me hard. It is interesting how two cats react so differently to a virus.
