Mancat Monday

We have been absent for a few posts because Mommy says she was busy, busy. I guess I'll forgive her...as long as she doesn't make a habit out of it!

Both Bella and I have a vet appointment on Thursday night. Mommy found that the little sores on my head are also on various parts of my body and that I have been scratching and grooming excessively. She also found a little soft, movable lump on Bella's tummy flap, which she's concerned about. When she called the place that rescued Bella to see if their vet had seen that before, they told her she could bring her to their vet to be examined because she was still officially being fostered. Mommy said it was time to make it an official adoption and that she would take Bella to our vet. I guess that means we are stuck with her!

Gerdy, from Gerdy's Rescue said that because of Bella's age, they are going to waive the adoption fee and call it a 'compassionate placement'. All we have to do now is sign the papers and Bella is ours forever. We'll definitely have to use our allowance to donate to that nice rescue!

Since I'm a gallant Mancat, I'll go with Bella to make sure she's not scared and introduce her to our favorite people at The Animal Health Clinic (the girls at the reception give the BEST scritches). If they can happen to find out why I'm so itchy while I'm there, all the better.

We're sending you purrs for your visit to the V.E.T. It's an evil necessity but good that you two will be going together for moral support.

Yay for Bella being adopted! We are so glad she has found a wonderful home with you guys! She reminds us a lot of Sweetie the Persian Princess. Of course, our dad desperately wants to adopt Sweetie, but mom says we have quite enough :) She is going to a wonderful Persian Rescue so she will find the perfect home.

Samson, when our foster Shea came to us, her head and neck were full of scabs. The vet gave her a depo-medrol injection and they started clearing up before she left us over the weekend. They said it was dermatitis. Perhaps you have some sort of allergy?

We hope Bella's lump is nothing at all, but so smart of your mom to have her checked out to just make sure.

Hope the appointment goes well for the both of you!!!

Sampson, this is such good news that Bella is officially a Monkey now! Hurrah!

We hope your vet visit goes well and that your itchies & Bella's lump are not serious. KonaKitty had similiar itchies last year and an antihistamine shot cleared her up in no time.

Happy Monday!

I am so happy that you get to stay there Bella, you're such a special one! My sisters and I are sending purrs for your visit and we hope all is A-O-K!

Samson, you are a kind and gallant mancat.

Mom says that movable lumps are better than ones that don't move. Grady had one once, that turned out to just be fat tissue.

I hope that you and Bella check out fine at the vet and only have teeny problems that are easily fixed.

Purrs to you both.

Poor Samson, I'm so sorry to hear you have more spots...did the vet think you had allergies last time, or some kind of dermatitis? I'm also worried about Bella's lump, but overjoyed to hear that she will be living with you permanently :-)

My kitties will all be purring for you both on Thursday, please keep us posted!

I sure hope your itchies are something that can be dealt with quickly and easily, Samson!

And how wonderful that Bella is now officially a part of your furmily! You are indeed a gentlecat to escort her to your V-E-T for the first time. If she wants to know how to act, you can show her Domino's post from last Tuesday, about Domino at the vet.

Oh Bella we are happy on the one paw that you are now an official monkey but on the other we are worried like your Mom (we Mom's a natural born worriers). We hope that your little lump is what my brother Jinx had...it was simply , er, well fat. Which was the best thing it could be! And Samson we hope that the Vet has a very easy fix for your itching. We will keep you in our purrs.
