Today's Tortie Tuesday lesson is the 'I meant to do that' face
The art of remaining cool when you've just done something that may have been a mistake or might have made you look bad is a difficult thing to manage.
Here's a good example of what I mean:
Mommy had some flowers delivered and they came in a big plastic bag that I decided to explore. I did not realize that the bag had a bottom and that it wasn't so easy to get out of. I also did not know that they could see me through the plastic! Note the calm, 'I meant to do that' look on my face when they caught me with the camera. (Samson's 'deer in the headlights' look is what you're not supposed to do). Try to avoid direct eye contact and always remain cool under pressure.
They even filmed the event but I didn't flinch. Yes, I got in this bag to inspect the sturdiness of it. You can put the camera away now, Mom...
This face can also be used if you don't quite make a jump, something startles you and you run scared like a kitten, or you accidentally slip into the tub because you don't realize that there's water under all those bubbles. The last example is only for the advanced Tortie (it's really difficult to keep your cool when you're covered in bubbles and your fur is all wet).
Happy Tortie Tuesday!

Haha! We believe you. Of course you meant to do that.
We're not torties, but we know that face. Never admit a mistake.
You have mastered the I meant to do that face, Delilah!! So cute!
That was such cute scratching in the bag. Whew, I know all about that face and you are experts at it, I see.
I use that face all of the time!!
Happy Tortie Tuesday, Delilah! We really like that video. Tasha believes that scratching at anything will make it do what she wants it to do. And she agrees about the "I meant to do that" face when caught by the camera. The boys haven't mastered that yet (probably because they are not torties!)
Thanks for the lessons. Those clear bags can lead to very embarrassing moments!
Those are some great tips, Delilah! We'll start working on purrfecting those looks for ourselves:)
It is sooooooo cute!
I want a bag like that of my very own so I can play with it!!!!
So I'm a Long-Haired Ginger Male, huh? That sounds pretty cool. Thanks for the advice!! Enjoy your bag!
BYE!!
