Tortie Tuesday

I am being unfairly accused of attempting to be naughty, so I'm not even going to look at Mommy. She's definitely mistaken!




Our kitchen cabinets are really fun to open, and both Samson and I have, in the past, tried to open them to go inside. The problem Mommy has with it, is when we attempt to open them, it makes a 'thud thud' noise that is very loud. Of course, once I was told not to do it, I would never do it again!

Now Mommy claims that she caught me in the act, on the way to play with the cupboard doors. Of course, she's wrong!



I'm just sitting here, being completely innocent. I'm allowed to sit here, aren't I?



That's it, I'm outta here! I will not be accused of something I haven't even done yet!

P.S. I just found out that our dear friend Paddy did not recover from her surgery and has passed away. We are so sad for her family! Paddy was a beautiful and sweet girl. Please send as many purrs as you can spare to them.

Mancat Monday

I think I've found the best place in the world for a Mancat to nap on!



Mommy was in the middle of unpacking a box, but I couldn't let this rare opportunity pass by.



It combines some of the most sought after sleep on material ever. A box, on a hairy blanket, on a big comfy pillow chair AND with many pillows carelessly piled on top of it all!



Delilah is giving me the laser eyes in the background and Mommy wants to continue unpacking, but I won't be moving from this spot for awhile!

Finally Friday

You know how the most comfortable place in the house is the place where you're not supposed to sleep? Well Deli and I will be waiting here, on the table, for Mommy to come home from work.



We think that if we're doing what we're not supposed to do, she'll realize that she needs to stay home to supervise us all the time.



Thankfully it really is comfortable, because 9 hours is a long time to wait!



And you know what? When we do this on Fridays, it seems to work for two days!

Tortie T(h)ursday

Sweet Pea here!

I went to the vet on Tuesday for my 'surprise' and it turns out that they took some parts from inside me! I was a little bit mad at Delilah for tricking me, but she explained that she was just trying to keep me from being scared. She also rallied a lot of purrs for me from all of our friends, so I guess I'll forgive her for that. Thank you to all who sent purrs! It made things go very smoothly.

When Daddy dropped me off, he explained that this was a very special surgery and that it would save me a lot of frustration in the future. He also said that it is a surgery that all girl cats should get to stop the suffering of unwanted cats and kittens with no homes. Now I'm very proud and honored to have had this surgery. I know my Daddy would never lie to me.



There were a couple of bad things about my surgery, like I'm a little tender when I try to jump places and I'm a little tired, but the worse thing is that they shaved my beautiful belly furs! Deli says they'll grow back, but I checked this morning and they're still gone! In a few days I'll be allowed to go back to see Samson and Delilah, and I'll have a word with Deli. She has a lot of explaining to do.

I was so excited to hear that I won Kitty Fight Club! I have to get back into shape soon so that I can give my prize Kong Kickeroo a good bunny-kicking. I want to thank all of you for voting for me, and, of course, the extremely handsome Misha for hosting the bouts. I was a little disappointed that the prize wasn't a smooch from him, but I will treasure my Kickeroo too. Congratulations to all the contestants! It was such a fun contest!

I didn't realize how tiring posting is, so I'll just take a little snooze now.

Too Much Tortie

With Delilah's Tort-Toes contest and Sweet Pea's Kitty Fight Club contest and now her spay surgery, I've had a little too much Tortie!

I've decided to take over all the chairs here so there's no room for any other cats. I've got three chairs claimed and a paw free for a fourth!



I need a little 'me' time, so no Torties better come near me!




They won't find me here!

P.S. From Mommy. In case you missed Deli's update yesterday, Sweet Pea's surgery went smoothly and she is now at home with her Daddy. Thank you all so much for your purrs!

Tortie Tuesday

Sweet Pea is going in for her spay surgery today, and I suppose I feel a little bad about tricking her into thinking it was going to be a fun surprise at the vet. I just didn't want her to be worried about it so she'd go into it with a positive outlook! Torties don't feel guilty very often, but Mommy captured it in a photo so you can see this rare event.



I love the little tyke, and I'll show you one of the main reasons why. Some of you may remember my fetching video from a while back. I trained long and hard with The Ball Guy (Sweet Pea's Daddy) to learn how to fetch like this. I was a little older than Sweet Pea in this video.



Now here is Sweet Pea in my old apartment with The Ball Guy doing the same thing! She is just as good as I am!




I told Sweet Pea that I would be right over to the vets if she needs me. I've got the car keys! I don't know how to drive yet, but how hard can it be?

UPDATE: Sweet Pea's surgery was completed at 2:30 PM EST and she is resting and doing well. The Ball Guy will be able to go pick her up at 7:00 PM, but he is so anxious to see her that he's going to go at 5:30 to wait with her until she's released! Thank you all for your purrs!
