Crazy Cleaning Lady

It's been a very long recovery for our Mommy after her surgery but she is finally starting to feel like the new woman the doctors said she would feel like. This is good news but there are some drawbacks. One of the bad things is she's going back to work in a week or so and we're very used to having her at home most of the day. But, by far the worst thing about Mommy feeling better, is her sudden maniacal desire to clean! The Ball Guy has been visiting very frequently to do things that she can't (cat litter, vacuuming, reaching high on shelves to get things, etc) and he's been really cool about it. If we're sleeping on a chair that needs to be de-furred, he waits until we wake up. Mommy, on the other hand, is so full of energy lately (more than we've ever seen) that when she wants to do something, she wants to do it NOW, even if we're busy doing something important (like snoozing) in the area she wants to clean! We want the old woman back!

Here are some examples of her crazy behavior:

Samson and I are enjoying a mid-afternoon nap in the hall when suddenly here comes Mommy with the Swiffer!! Run Sammy! We don't mind stuff on the floor, she shouldn't either!

Dust? What dust? I think you need glasses, Mommy!

That isn't cat fur on Cartman's face, he's growing a beard. Now go away and let me sleep.

The window is not dirty...umm there's a fire in the building and that's smoke. Don't worry, I'll keep an eye out and let you know if we have to evacuate. And, by the way, fur on curtains is the latest trend - I read it in Home magazine

It's getting increasingly difficult to fool her but we're going to keep trying.

Have a good weekend!

Samson and Delilah

We're glad to hear your Mommy is getting better, but sorry you will miss her. Nice work on trying to convince her it's all in her head and that she needs to relax.

We're glad ur mama is feeling so much better dat she wants to clean -- is a good sign. Wot she duzn't realize is dat as soon as she cleans it u guys are gonna cum by and scentmark it up again, and leave ur fur trail doing it!

I say -- why bother -- leave it de way it is!

We really don't like cleaning either! It's a lot of work to get that cat hair evenly distributed all over the house and when mom messes it all up, we have to do it all over again.

P.S. We are very happy that your mom is feeling better!

Spring cleaning stinks! We like to have our furrs on the furniture and everywhere else! It's comforting:)

You mean all curtains don't have cat furs on them? I thought that's how they are supposed to be! I take care of dust, I am so floofy, Mom doesn't have to dust the places I've been, but then she has to clean the dust off me!

It's good that your mommy is feeling better but what's with disrupting your nice, lived-in look that you've worked so hard to get? Everything looks better with cat hair on it - she must have forgot that.

That is good that your mom is getting better! Do you help her with the housework? I run and hide whenever there is housework! Love your photos!

We're glad your mom is feeling better but yeah, humans can be crazy about cleaning. Our momma is always picking up all our toys and putting them in a basket...what a waste of time. We can unload that basket in 45 seconds!!
