Besides the obvious differences in appearance, Delilah and I are very different in many other ways. I think the only similarity we have is that we are both cats...although sometimes I wonder about Deli.
One thing that Mommy finds really odd about me, is the way I react to the camera. I am always posing and ready to be immortilized, while Deli is rarely willing. I also do not mind the flash on the camera. As illustrated below, my eyes remain wide open with or without the flash
Mommy says I'm going to burn my corneas! That actually sounds rather uncomfortable...
Deli, on the other hand, often tries to avoid the camera and she gets very mad when the flashy thing goes off
Delilah is never very cooperative when it comes to pictures, but yet she complains that she doesn't have enough blogging time. I'll never understand girlcats!
Oh well...how about more pictures of me?
Tomorrow is the first day that Deli and I will meet Sweet Pea (yes, it's her official name, finally!) and Mommy wants to ask the mommies and daddies of the CB for some advice on introducing her to us. She's not sure how we'll react so she's a little worried.

You just know how handsome you are, Sampson, and want the whole world to know it. I think the first introduction should be made through the door of a closed PTU, with Sweet Pea inside. That way the humans can see the reaction, but Sweet Pea will be safe, if Sampson and Delilah react negatively.
Great pictures, but we're with Delilah. We hate the flashy thing.
Samson, I love posing too!!! Now Zoey, she's like Delilah and will run when she sees the flashy box...she hates the flash!
Mom says to take the intro nice and slow...maybe like Karen Jo says...you guys can sniff her through the PTU...but your mom should not get discouraged if you react badly at first....
Keep those pictures coming mum cause they are lovely.. I dont like the flash either and turn away.. I think slowly slowly must be the order of the day with sweet pea, but you must surely get to love her pretty quick as she is gorgeous.. See you at mine today for my party.. Hugs GJ x
Wonderful - you guys will have a Sweetpea like we do! whenever we introduce a new cat we keep them separate at first. You can bring the carrier inside but don't make a fuss over the new cat - it will upset Sam and Del. We have always given the new kitty their own room at first until they get used to being in a new place then we let the others get used to a new memeber in the house by letting them see the new cat for a little while at a time. You will know when it is time to let them all be together but do it supervised at the beginning. Sweetpea has a lot to get used to - a new place, new cats and you. Do this gently and over some time and she will be fine. If there is some aggression keep them separated a bit longer and make sure you tell everyone that they are all loved and nothing will change. Good luck!
We LOVE seeing picture sof you (willing and not) MOL!!! As for introducing Sweet Pea (YAY) when Cricket came home, mom just plopped her on the floor and let us handle it ourselves. There was some hissing, but no whapping. Cricket acted as if she lived there forever and paid no mind to us. We are wishing you all the best of luck! And Delilah??? We made today Tortie Tursday! That was a furry excellent idea!!! Thanx sweetie!
You are both very photogenic and we love all your photos.
Andy: I'm with Samson; I'll pose any time.
Sammy: I'm with Deli, I really don't like to have my photo taken.
We hope your first meeting with Sweet Pea will go well.......we think Karen Jo's advice is super.
xxxxxxx
To get to know the differences between you is very interesting. We are very different too.
Sweet Pea is a very sweet name! We're glad it stuck. Will she actually be living with you or with the Ball Guy? Or will she just be visiting? When mom brought Chilli home she gave her half an hour in the kitchen to explore a bit and then she let us together. It took us a week to get along and it was quite the stressful time. Sweat Pea is younger than Chilli was, that might be an advantage. If she was going to move in with you we'd say keep her in a different room for some days, swap kitty beds to get used to the smell, allow short visits where treats are served etc. Mom underestimated Siena's territorial feelings and she would introduce us much slower if she were to do it again. But this seems to be different with every cat. We hope that you will love the little one as fast as possible. Good luck and let us know how it went.
Purrs!
I'm no expert an animal introductions and it sounds like you've already got some great advise.
I just wanted to say how sweet the photos are!
Good luck with Sweet Pea! We'll be anxious to hear how it all goes.
Glogirly & Katie
We don't like the flash either but Isabella is our resident model since she is mellow and doesn't move too fast most of the time.
We hope the meeting with Sweet Pea goes well. We just think if you take it slowly you all will be furiends in no time.
Angel
Great photos of both of you. We agree that Sweet Pea should be in a ptu.
You are so handsome with and without the flash. Delilah doesn't know what she is missing being immortalized!
cindy
Mom rarely uses a flash (and on those rare occasions that she does, it is never directly in our faces).
Sounds like you've already got some great advice. Slow and easy and keeping everybuddy safe is the main things to remember. Mom used Feliway when we first brought Whitey home. We think it helped quite a bit.
Good photos are hard...our house never seems to have the right light to go without the flash, so the boys get blinded all the time! It make their furs nice and shiny though MOL.
good luck with the introduction and just remember that love at first site may not be the outcome, but that's ok.
I don't have any advice on introducing a new kitten. It's been so long since I had to do it. I think I just brought the little one home, and watched while the others approached it. We never had any big problems. Maybe a hiss or two, and then curiosity took over.
Samson, I think maybe the difference is between males and females about the camera thing. Dante poses nicely and Domino doesn't a lot of the time. He can get a little irritated, too.
With Sweet Pea (such a cute name!) being a kitten, I don't think you have any problems introducing Sam and Deli to her.
Gorgeous pictures...

We love pictures. We have no advice, because the fosters (Sachi and Miko) we decided to keep still get head wops and hisses from Tiger and Vash.
Samson, your fur seems whiter with the flash. I hope the introduction goes really well with Sweet Pea.
That's the thing with women, they always worry about how they look.
While we men already know we are fabulous.
Dushi
Sampson, you are quite the handsome mancat. I like to keep my eyes wide open, too.
I can't wait to meet Sweet Pea!
No flash for me, you look handsome either way.
I will miss Sweet Pea's intro. Hope it goes well.
You are both gorgeous kitties! Moosey poses for the camera, but Sammy is scared of it (not the flash ... I think it's the sound of the camera motor, but I have no clue why...).
Mom says be patient and take it very slowly. When mom introduced each and every one of us into our home, we went to a holding room by ourselves so everyone could get used to the idea of introoders in the house, then we moved on to playing under the door and then sniffing stuff. It usually takes about 2 weeks, unless you are Bennette and then you just barge right it...or unless you are Nigel and you hole up in a room by yourself for 4 whole months! Sheesh. My momma and I only took 1 1/2 weeks to come out and mix it up with the others.
We are the same. Flynn loves having his photo taken. Mum only has to say Flynnie, and he looks at the flashy box and even smiles. Me, I hate the thing, with or without the flash. Mum tries to hide it from me so she can get photos of me. She usually has to do it with the zoom.
